The seeds of of guava also lead to constipation if you chew them and then eat. But it is also not advisable to throw away the seeds. Proper way to eat guava is to cut in half or quarter pieces and then eat the outer portion which are seedless first. Then when you reach the part with the seed and the pulp just softly chew the pulp so as to make it softer and pulpy without breaking the seed and then just gulp it.

Guava also help in increasing hemoglobin and increases the luster of the face.

Ensure that guava is neither too unripe nor too ripe. This can be judged by the hardness or the softness of the fruit. Do not take the fruit in the night and only in the morning or afternoon.

How to take Triphala

Take one to two spoon of Triphala with a warm glass of milk or water before going to bed. This should be dissolved around an hour ago before taking.

Another way to take Triphala is mix one spoon of Triphala in one glass of water overnight. If you want more then mix two teaspoon in two glassed of water. In the morning, boil the mixture and when water become half the quantity, take it off the stove. Now filter the water with thin cloth and drink the water. This is an excellent medicine for constipation relief.

Water consists 70% of our body and it regulates and helps maintain the body functionality. One of the major functions of water in our body is to help in waste elimination in form of sweat, urine or stool. When water is taken in sufficient quantities our body functions properly and smoothly. When there is lack of water consumption it leads to many complications including constipation.

The question is how much water do you need to drink daily. You would need to drink from 4 to 5 liters of water each day. If you do not exercise then 4 liters would be sufficient and in case you exercise then 5 liters should be consumed. However it is more important that you have around one third of that water in the morning itself. This is known as water therapy.

What is Water Therapy?

Water therapy is a simple process where in you need to drink around 1.5 liters of water first thing in the morning. This is how you do it. Heat up around 1.5 liters of water to lukewarm levels. Now pour it in a glass and try to drink as much as possible and stop for a short time. Then again continue drinking. Try to finish the water as quickly as possible but also make sure that you are comfortable.

On the first day or the first week it may not be possible to drink that much water. You can start with 1 liter and then gradually increase the volume. Initially your mind and body will resist this since you are shaking your comfort zone. But gradually you would be able to drink that water quite easily. In case you want you can increase the break between the drinking but do not have a gap of more than couple of minutes.

How Water Therapy Helps in Constipation

The idea is to flush all the toxins of the body which build up during the previous day. Apart from the toxins which go out via urine intestines are also cleared. The crucial part here is to have the water together in a small period. Because water is taken so fast all is not absorbed in the body and water reaches the intestines and pushes the stool towards the rectum. Water also softens the stool and helps in elimination. Having hot water helps as it stimulates the peristaltic movement.
